The journey to motherhood is one of life’s most transformational experiences. My hope is to support you as you navigate this new identity and empower you to trust your inner strength.
LET'S CONNECT
Hi, I’m Christine! I love supporting women and families in navigating the shift to parenthood in our modern world. I especially love to guide first time moms in developing the self-trust & inner resourcing that will give them confidence through birth & postpartum.
I came to the world of birth work through training as a prenatal yoga instructor and currently teach at the Sri Janani studio in North Seattle. I am a great fit for clients who hope to incorporate breathwork, mindful movement, and meditation to their prenatal and labor experience. I also volunteer with the PEPS organization as a leader for both Expecting & New Parent groups, so am very familiar with common challenges faced during this period.
Birth is one of life's most transformational experiences, but it can be hard to know where to start with all the information available these days and options to weigh along the journey to meeting your baby! As a Birth Doula, my role is to empower you to have the birth experience you desire by providing the following support during pregnancy, birth, and new life with your new little one:
- Informational - Knowledge is power. I want to make sure you have all the unbiased info necessary to make decisions about birth and navigate the system.
- Physical - Guidance during pregnancy and birth for positions to reduce stress & pain, progress labor, and increase your comfort.
- Emotional - What is important to you? How do you want to feel during and after your birth? I'll guide you through conversations with your partner, support your decisions, and advocate for you.
We’ll work together to create a program customized to your goals which integrates practices from childbirth education classes, prenatal yoga, hypnobirthing, medical guidance & scientific studies. Similar to the process of labor, my hope in supporting clients is to strike a balance between the strength of advocacy/ planning and the ease of encouraging letting go / embracing the moment.
I had an unbelievably positive, empowering, and beautiful unmedicated hospital birth thanks to our incredible doula, Christine Staffon. Even my husband, who was initially skeptical about hiring a doula, turned to me after our baby girl was born and said, “I’m so glad we had Christine. She was worth every penny.”
From the very beginning, Christine took the time to understand my birth preferences and philosophy toward labor so that when decisions came up in the hospital, I was able to stay present and focused on labor, knowing Christine understood my wishes and could support us through the process.
During labor, she was absolutely invaluable. Christine has an amazing ability to read the room and adjust her approach. When I needed encouragement and levity, her joyful personality lightened the atmosphere and kept me relaxed. When contractions became more intense and required deep focus, she shifted seamlessly into creating a calm, grounded, and serene environment. She worked side by side with my husband—trading off counterpressure and massage—which made a huge difference in my ability to manage contractions.
She also suggested different positions throughout labor, balancing active and restful ones to keep progress steady without exhausting me. Because she was always by my side, my husband and other support people were able to eat, rest, and recharge during my 25-hour labor without leaving me unsupported for even a moment.
Christine’s presence and knowledge gave me the freedom to let go of “thinking” and simply ride each wave of labor. That gift, along with her unwavering support, is what made my unmedicated hospital birth such a positive and empowering experience. My husband and I cannot recommend her highly enough—10/10, five stars, worth every penny and more!

"I am elated I chose Christine as my birth doula. From the moment we met to discuss my birth preferences to the birth itself, Christine provided me with educational resources, spiritual support and physical as well as energetic guidance along the way. Her presence is strong, yet calming, and I felt she really cared for me and my baby. She was an advocate for me – offering questions and suggestions to work through with my doctor especially when I dealt with gestational hypertension toward the end of my pregnancy. I also really appreciated how she involved my partner in the process, and how the two of them worked together to support me during labor. I am so grateful for her service and would recommend her to anyone looking for support in their birthing journey."
