Addy Heyn

Birth & Postpartum Doula

Through one of life’s most vulnerable seasons, every family deserves caring, calming and compassionate support. It’s an honor to help families transition through labor and into their new family structure through my work as a doula.

Let's Connect

Addy Heyn is a postpartum doula and support person to new & growing families. She studied postpartum care with DONA International at Bastyr University. She is compassionate and nurturing in her role as postpartum doula and thrives through helping families find their new balance and joy. She values the care of each part of the family, making sure not only the birthing person is cared for, but that the family is set up for success in the season of so much transition. She has experience with a variety of family compositions, including working with families of multiples. She looks for ways to create positive lasting memories on the journey of parenthood and support, as well as create systems of care that work for each individual family.

Addy’s calm, patient and empathetic demeanor has been essential in her work with children with disabilities, as a hospitality ambassador and care-giver as she’s forged a community and sense of independence for those she cares for. Addy is passionate about connecting people to guides, resources and communities that will help them thrive. She seeks to find answers & science-based resources for any of your questions. No question is out of bounds to explore, and she looks forward to offering you encouragement and reassurance in your journey.

When not caring for new families, Addy enjoys being creative in the kitchen through food and drink, creating something with her hands like crafting a table or making incredible lattes. She is a professional photographer and is a volunteer photographer with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. She is also involved with Northwest Mother’s Milk Bank. She thrives on adventures and time at home with her husband of 7 years and new baby. Addy is growing her skills through becoming a Birth Doula with Expecting Joy as well. She currently calls West Seattle her home and serves families all around Seattle and the Eastside.
