Christine Staffon

Birth Doula

The journey to motherhood is one of life’s most transformational experiences. My hope is to support you as you navigate this new identity and empower you to trust your inner strength.

LET'S CONNECT

Hi, I’m Christine! I love supporting women and families in navigating the shift to parenthood in our modern world. I especially love to guide first time moms in developing the self-trust & inner resourcing that will give them confidence through birth & postpartum.

I came to the world of birth work through training as a prenatal yoga instructor and currently teach at the Sri Janani studio in North Seattle. I am a great fit for clients who hope to incorporate breathwork, mindful movement, and meditation to their prenatal and labor experience. I also volunteer with the PEPS organization as a leader for both Expecting & New Parent groups, so am very familiar with common challenges faced during this period.

Birth is one of life's most transformational experiences, but it can be hard to know where to start with all the information available these days and options to weigh along the journey to meeting your baby! As a Birth Doula, my role is to empower you to have the birth experience you desire by providing the following support during pregnancy, birth, and new life with your new little one:

- Informational - Knowledge is power. I want to make sure you have all the unbiased info necessary to make decisions about birth and navigate the system.
- Physical - Guidance during pregnancy and birth for positions to reduce stress & pain, progress labor, and increase your comfort.
- Emotional - What is important to you? How do you want to feel during and after your birth? I'll guide you through conversations with your partner, support your decisions, and advocate for you.

We’ll work together to create a program customized to your goals which integrates practices from childbirth education classes, prenatal yoga, hypnobirthing, medical guidance & scientific studies. Similar to the process of labor, my hope in supporting clients is to strike a balance between the strength of advocacy/ planning and the ease of encouraging letting go / embracing the moment.

What Her Clients say
"I am elated I chose Christine as my birth doula. From the moment we met to discuss my birth preferences to the birth itself, Christine provided me with educational resources, spiritual support and physical as well as energetic guidance along the way. Her presence is strong, yet calming, and I felt she really cared for me and my baby. She was an advocate for me – offering questions and suggestions to work through with my doctor especially when I dealt with gestational hypertension toward the end of my pregnancy. I also really appreciated how she involved my partner in the process, and how the two of them worked together to support me during labor. I am so grateful for her service and would recommend her to anyone looking for support in their birthing journey."

"I truly can't imagine my birth experience without Christine. She empowered me, advocated for me, and made me feel completely seen and supported every step of the way."
